Advanced Techniques for Full, Natural-Looking Hair
Hair loss is a real thing that many men and women are effected by. Hair loss can be caused by heredity, stress, hormonal imbalance, illness, to name a few. Dr. Roche has a proven hair loss treatment to regrow and thicken your hair. It’s not transplants, it’s not invasive at all. Let Dr. Roche help you treat your hair loss.
How Does It Work?
Dr. Roche’s hair loss treatment is composed of a non-invasive laser treatment, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), and HRT therapy.
If hormonal imbalance is to blame, HRT therapy or HGH therapy is an integral component of the treatment. State of the Art blood tests will be done to check your hormones: estrogen, testosterone, thyroid and cortisol determine if your hair loss is hormonal or genetic. If a hormone imbalance is identified, Dr. Roche will prescribe bioidentical hormones made specifically for you by a compounding pharmacy. This will help bring your hormone levels back to optimal balance and effectively treat hair loss. Women often are the prime sufferers from hair loss caused by hormonal imbalance.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is harvested from your own blood. Your blood is drawn and centrifuged using a system specifically for the PRP process. The blood is separated into the different components, the plasma rich with platelets is separated out of the blood in this special device. Dr. Roche then takes this plasma rich in platelets and growth factors and injects it into the areas where there is hair loss. The solution can also be applied to the surface after using a dermaroller treatment. The PRP therapy is done over a minimum of 6 months, one treatment a month.
Dr. Roche also utilizes cool laser technology to stimulate hair growth and speed up the healing and growth cycles. The Erchonia laser company has several non-invasive lasers, one of which Dr. Roche uses for hair loss. Dr. Roche likes to see a patient for a laser treatment 1-2 times a week for the 6 months of hair loss treatment coupled with the PRP therapy monthly. The HRT or HGH therapy is a daily usage of prescribed supplements and medications.
Laser Therapy as a Hair Loss Treatment
Today, low level laser therapy is being used as a hair loss treatment. To treat baldness with laser light therapy, laser rays are directly applied to the scalp by a mechanical device so that red blood cells are stimulated. Lasers are said to work by converting ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) to ADP (Adenosine Diphosphate), releasing energy and causing cellular metabolic changes. During this process, additional nutrients and oxygen are provided to the scalp assisting the normal chemical processes performed by those cells, increasing overall blood circulation. Lasers, when applied to the scalp and hair, have been said to improve overall hair quality, promote hair growth, and increase hair shaft diameter.
Laser treatment devices have a similar appearance to a hood hair dryer which is placed over the top of your head. The low-level laser toll will rotate allowing laser rays, usually red in color, to be discharged into your scalp. Hand held devices such as the Hairmax comb have also been developed and resemble a brush in appearance. Promoting healthy hair growth however, is not the same as the regrowth of miniaturized hairs brought on by genetic female hair loss or male pattern baldness (MPB).
