Quality Improvement Plan

Our organization conducts quality improvement studies to improve the quality of service to our patients. We conduct at least 2-3 quality improvement studies per year in the office, along with studies in coordination with national agencies, such as AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care), to make sure patients are receiving the best care possible. We also hold weekly meetings throughout the year to discuss and ensure that the quality improvements are sufficient and increasing patient safety and satisfaction. Some of our quality improvement studies this year and in past years have been: Solving the problem of patients being cold after surgery by using Bear Hugger heating blankets and hot lines to heat the IV fluid.

Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC)

Our organization been accredited by AAAHC. AAAHC has been around for 4 decades and is the highest form of public recognition a health care organization can receive for the quality of care it provides. Being AAAHC accredited shows our patients that we have achieved the highest quality of patient care.

IRB (Institutional Review Board Studies) on Liposuction

Study on the Red Line Laser (Erchonia Laser)

Our organization is part of two Institutional Review Board Studies (IRBs), one being the use of the Red Line Laser for Liposuction. This Laser is being studied for it's ability to assist liposuction through: decreasing the patient's postoperative discomfort, facilitating fat extraction, enhancing emulsification of extracted fat, reducing swelling and inflammation, decreasing the amount of surgical time spent to obtain optimal results, enhancing wound healing, and decreasing amount of recovery medication for pain.

Studies on Breast Implants

Our organization participates in these IRB studies to help ensure patient satisfaction and safety. We are part of an IRB which will be studying breast implants. The other IRB study we are in is mentioned above.

Liposuction Quality Improvement Study

The purpose of this study is to improve safety measures with patients receiving liposuction while under anesthesia. This study is sponsored by AAAHC under their Institute for Quality Improvement.
