Acne Removal Laser
Acne is one of the most common and stubborn skin problems. Regardless of skin type or lifestyle, approximately 80% of the population will suffer from acne at some point in their lives. Yet many patients fail to respond adequately to current treatment options and others develop problematic side effects. Further, the cost and duration of acne treatment with topical medications and oral antibiotics make standard therapy far from ideal.
Now, a novel device called the ClearLight Acne PhotoClearingT (APCT) technology gives physicians a new tool designed to clear moderate inflammatory acne without side effects, patient discomfort, photosensitivity or downtime. ClearLight uses a high-intensity, enhanced, narrow band light source (405-420 nm).
Using high-intensity APC technology with a 405-420nm wavelength light, which permeates the tissue, the acne is reached safely and effectively. This unique spectrum of high-intensity light triggers the proliferation of endogenic porphyrins, which attack and destroy the acne bacteria within the skin. ClearLight creates a destruction rate that surpasses the normal proliferation rate of the acne bacteria, assuring a significant decrease in acne.
